Celtic Unicorn Necklace

NIR279

Crafted from fine pewter, this pendant comes complete with a 33" black cord and hangs on a inscribed legend card.

Inscription:

The Celtic Unicorn is a creature of myth. To the Celts the horn of the unicorn represented a flaming spear and the power of the sun. It offered protection against evil and was said to have the ability to detect and counter poisons. The Celts considered the unicorn a symbol of purity, endurance, fertility and gentleness, who could see directly into your heart and allow it to judge your true character and values. In Celtic myth the White Horse is paired with the winter holly tree. The summer oak and the White Horse represent the strength that brought the Celts through summer, while the winter holly and the Unicorn represent endurance that brought the Celts through winter.
