Part-time (2-4 days per week, 5-6 hour shifts) -- wage TBD

Dragonspace Gift Shop is looking for retail sales associates to join our staff! We offer a flexible schedule, with a preference for weekend availability.

Who we are: DragonSpace is a gift shop specializing in fantasy giftware and new age spirituality that has become a well-known presence on Granville Island over its 25 years of operation. We cater to individuals exploring esoteric belief systems, as well as any curious browsers, so familiarity with our stock and product-knowledge is a great plus!

Who we’re looking for: Retail sales experience is a must! We are a small-team operation, so candidates should demonstrate being self-motivated and taking initiative. You should have a great attitude, be self-motivated, dependable, and friendly! The position will focus on customer service, but also involve developing product knowledge, maintaining inventory, store upkeep and cleaning, and basic administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience in a retail business
  • Experience using a POS system and cash handling
  • Excellent communication skills, friendliness, and punctuality
  • Familiarity and/or interest in fantasy, esoteric and new age products
