Palo Santo Rune Set
This set of Nordic runestones contains 25 individual stones fashioned into genuine wood settings, perfect to aid your daily divination practice, or decorate your home. The name rune itself means "secret" or "something hidden" - thus runes are considered esoteric symbols of ancient knowledge.
Runecasting, or the act of divining with runes, is a practice wherein the reader picks out a single, or sequence of runes, and reads them in a given layout - such as past, present, and future. Alternatively, the runes can be cast out of the bag all at once, and the upward-facing runes respond to a particular question or problem.
Palo Santo (Burseara Graveolens) or "Holy Wood" is a tree that grows on the coast of South America and is related to Frankincense, Myrrh and Copal.
It is an aromatic wood used for centuries by the Incas and other cultures as a spiritual remedy. Used for incense and smudging it creates a pleasant, fresh smelling smoke with hints of mint and citrus with underlying notes of frankincense. Thought to purge bad spirits, it is also said that it enhances creativity and brings good fortune.
Each rune set comes with:
- 25 wood runes (including 24 inscribed runes and 1 "blank" rune)
- Velvet drawstring bag for storage and carrying
- Rune meaning sheet
Please note that due to natural variations in gemstone deposits, the rune set you receive may not be identical to the one pictured. Individual rune stone sizes vary from 0.5" - 1" in diameter.
